According to great philosopher JOHN AUSTIN , disciple of JEREMY BENTHAM law is nothing but only a command given by political superior to political inferior backed by sanction. He deal only with 'what law is' not with 'what law ought to be'. Austin belongs to school of positive law also known as analytical school of thought. They keep law separate from morality.Austin's theory have its own criticism because neither it include custom as a source of law neither precedents.
